The Line: Boob or Great?
The Good: The airbrushed cover.
The Average:
“Strawberry Bounce” – In the past it was sexy when Jackson insinuated about sex, now she wants to give it all away without a hint of seduction. Sexy isn’t throwing sex in our face. If you like porn then have a listen to “Warmth” with versus like “I feel you get erect…there’s no place warmer than my mouth” to a repeating “my hands wrapped around you stroking.” When did Janet Jackson fall off the cliff? “Warmth” would make R. Kelly blush—okay, maybe not.
The Ugly:
“Damita Jo” – Listening to these bombs can wear you out. There’s no content and no thought except to resurrect her career ripping of Beyonce—who once called Jackson an idol.
“Islands” – Janet talks to ‘the fans’ and it’s impossible to listen to a rich woman talking about the Caribbean Island that is the best. Interesting, consider none of us could ever afford to go there. Who’s out of touch?
Frankly: Janet Jackson showed her nipple because her new album is so bad there’s no other way we’d buy it. Jackson sings there’s “nothing worse than a man out of touch,” except of course a woman out of touch. Janet are you listening?
