We all know Jennifer Love Hewitt from Party of Five and other things she’s acted in, but most don’t know she started as a singer. Now she takes her career back to where she started.
Now Hear this:
“Can I Go Now” – The album’s best track.
“Hey Everybody” – Radio should love this as it is written for them. This is a typical Meredith Brooks track; soft rock to its core.
Listen Once:
“I Know You Will” – As much as I like this chorus it shows some large holes in Hewitt’s vocal skills.
“Barenaked” – The bridge is slim and the verses drag. The chorus is the only part of the track that keeps the song interesting.
“You” – Hewitt’s voice doesn’t go well with this ballad.
Skip It:
“Me And Bobby McGee” – Hewitt couldn’t hold Janis Joplin’s microphone. Atrocious.
“Rock The Roll” – It sounds too much like Sheryl Crow except the lyrics are absolutely dreadful.
“Stronger”
The album was co-written with Meredith Brooks and it shows. That is good and bad; some of the tracks seem over done and too fluffy. Hewitt handles them well, but most tracks just come off bland.
