Lifehouse couldn’t have expected “Hanging By A Moment” to be as huge and to last as long as it did. Coming off that success is their sophomore effort Stanley Climbfall. Do they have what it takes to follow up on their initial success?
Now Hear This:
“Spin” – Give it a few spins and you will find you can’t stop listening.
“Am I Ever Gonna Find Out” – A giant leap above past attempts.
“Sky Is Falling” – Simply good rock.
“Take Me Away” – Goes from slow to roaring.
Hear it:
“Wash” – Good, but not up to the better songs.
“Stanley Climbfall”
“Take Me Away” – Interesting.
Skip it:
“Empty Space” – gets boring fast.
Panning their first record wasn’t easy, in my opinion that record was a one trick pony, and it proved true with “Hanging By A Moment”. Jason Wade’s voice can still be extremely grating at times and still sounds too much like everyone else’s voice in rock today. However Stanley Climbfall shows these guys have more up their sleeves and as they mature their songs are growing and blossoming before our eyes.
