Duncan Sheik has gone from hit song to obscurity. With his latest record Daylight he hopes to bring back that pop touch that has seemed to have gotten lost in his folk roots.

Rocks:
“Half-Life” – Gorgeous. A wonderful hook!
“Start Again” – You can almost imagine yourself there behind the drivers seat.

Rolls:
“Genius” – Interesting.
“For You” – Nice, but haven’t we heard that melody somewhere before?
“Good Morning!” – We all sing Lalalalalala.
“Shine Inside” – cool vocal effect. I wouldn’t mind hearing more of this in the future from Sheik.

Slows:
“Such Reveries” – gets pretty boring.
“Magazines” – goes nowhere.
