Chester French… who are they? Where did they come from? What’s all this talk about their debut EP, coming out November 11th? And most importantly, why did Abba ever have to break up? The answers to three out of four of those questions will be revealed in this press release.
When Harvard freshmen DA Wallach and Maxwell Drummey met, they realized they had two things in common: a passion for making great, boundary-less music and disyllabic last names. The very same day they met, they decided to form a band called Chester French, write a classic pop album, somehow get it to Pharrell Williams, get signed to Star Trak/Interscope and then finally play a concert in outer space. “It’s been a long time since I’ve heard a project teeming with this sort of musicality and originality,” says Williams, the phenomenal artist/producer/trailblazer of Neptunes, N.E.R.D. and so-much-else fame. It’s six years later, and they’ve met all their goals (although we can’t discuss the outer space concert just yet… it’s still classified…).
With all that out of the way, DA and Max are finally ready to release their debut EP, She Loves Everybody, digitally on November 11th and in traditional record stores on November 18th.
The EP consists of Chester French’s latest single, “She Loves Everybody” and remixes of the song by super-producers The Neptunes and DJ Steve Aoki. It also includes their fan-favorite track “The Jimmy Choos” and a remixed version of said track by underground hip-hop legend El P.
It also may or may not come with a free bar of soap.
