It’s been a long time since “Kiss Me” ate up the airwaves. Has it been to long for Sixpence?
Great:
“Down And Out Of Time” – You could listen to this over and over again.
“Paralyzed” – Emotional, powerful and perhaps the hardest hitting track Sixpence has yet done.
“Waiting On The Sun” – Finally they are giving me all the rays of sunshine that you come to expect.
“I’ve Been Waiting” – Again the emotions run high and singer Leigh Nash completely takes you over with her wonderful voice.
“Tension Is A Passing Note” – A slow song that is touching and mesmerizing. The instrumental piece is gorgeous, tender acoustic guitars built into lush strings.
Good:
“Breathe Your Home” – Lovely, but not particularly entertaining.
“Melody Of You” – Gorgeous vocals and music, just doesn’t hang around long in your head.
“Still Burning” – Not a ballad that sticks with you.
“A Million Parachutes” – Painfully good.
Blah:
“Don’t Dream It’s Over” – Hey now, hey now… I hated this song the first time it came out and the cover doesn’t help.
Don’t dismiss Sixpence None The Richer as a one trick pony. Divine Discontent might be the one record that could save a mediocre music industry. I hope more artists try to learn a thing or two from them.
