Penn & Teller’s Bullsh*t

Penn & Teller’s Bullsh*t
Cast: Penn & Teller
Studio: Showtime
Rating: 8/10

Corporate Line: Self-proclaimed pit-bulls of truth, Penn & Teller use their trademark humor, knowledge of carnival tricks, and hidden cameras to blow the lid off popular notions about second hand smoke, self help products, diet claims, creationism, TV psychics, Feng Shui, bottled water and more!!!!

The Good: Are you tired of all the bullsh*t? Companies try to trick us into buying their products, garbage being sold as truth, and everything else that seems to be just a bunch of nonsense?

Penn & Teller will make you mad by stomping on a few things you hold dear. However you won’t be mad long as they make you see the light on some of the silly things we do and snap us back into reality. Bottled water anyone? You might as well sip off your hose apparently. Even if that’s too gross for you it’ll surely make you laugh. You won’t buy into each of their “truths” but remember it’s part magic and part standup and they aren’t trying to sell you anything but a laugh.

The best aspect of Bullsh*t is how thought provoking it can be. The best episodes are bottled water, Creationism, and Second-hand smoke. What about those crazy pet psychics? Do we really need Penn & Teller to tell us that it is bullsh*t? No, but it’s a lot more fun. And if you have some sexual issues with penis or breast size wiat until you see them run over those issues. Hilarious.

The Bad: Penn tends to rant on and on when he already made his point. Penn often seems like an obnoxious bully. He has a way of making you laugh and understand his stance however its his attitude towards it all that can often overshadow the bullsh*t he is beating down.

DVD Features: Special Features: Naked Promo, Bonus Episode, Deleted Scenes, Interview, Bios, Outtakes, Behind-the-Scenes. James Randi talks about the million dollars to anyone that can prove ghosts exist—he still has the money.

Frankly: Penn & Teller’s Bullsh*t is hilarious. If you expect to laugh and be outraged at the same time then they have done their job.
