Pearl Aday, who is quickly making a name for herself in the music world, will release her US debut collection, “Little Immaculate White Fox.”
With a rock lineage that declares her, “To the manor born,” Pearl has created a collection of songs that takes you on a rock and roll journey. She was named after the infamous Janis Joplin, God Daughter to Maria Muldaur, daughter of Meat Loaf and wife to Scott Ian of Anthrax. In addition, she has toured as a back-up singer with Motley Crue and she and her band have opened for Velvet Revolver.
In a synchronistic tale told to her startled pregnant mom before she was born, a psychic said, “Your daughter will sing and will resemble a Little Immaculate White Fox.” Pearl, all grown now with a mane of platinum curls, a long, lithe figure and innocent look on her face with the slyness and intelligence of a fox, has been injected with the passion for rock and roll and is cutting a path across the music world.
Her new cd, with the help of husband and band member Scott Ian of Anthrax, is a cross between raw rock and roll and a sweetness that comes from Pearl’s soul. The band has created a sound that combines influences from all genres of rock: from blues to heavy Metal. Pearl adds , “I just want to bring it all back to the real rock and roll, the soul, the emotion. I strip it all down and it comes from a raw and naked place inside me.”
Other friends appear on the CD including Jerry Cantrell (Alice In Chains) and Ted Nugent on separate tracks. The album was produced by Joe Barresi (Tool, Queens of the Stone Age, Bad Religion.) and features original songs with the exception of a soulful and rocking cover of Tina Turner’s “Nutbush City Limits” produced by Pearl (the band) and mixed by Warren Riker. In addition, the newest original track Broken White was produced and mixed by Jay Ruston (The Donnas, Steel Panther).”
PEARL is: Pearl Aday (vocals) Marcus Blake (bass) Nalle Colt (guitar) Jim Wilson (guitar) Scott Ian (guitar) and Eric Andrews (drums).
